The finalists for the 2026 Southern Africa OSPAs have now been unveiled, shining a spotlight on the very best in the security sector. The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) celebrate excellence across the industry, recognising the achievements of outstanding companies, individuals and innovative initiatives.
Built on a foundation of independence and inclusivity, the OSPAs provide a prestigious platform for both buyers and suppliers to gain well-deserved recognition. The awards are guided by strong ethical principles and supported by a network of respected industry bodies and special interest groups. These organisations play a vital role in the process, nominating expert judges from across the sector, including, ASIS South Africa, Security Association of Botswana, Security Association of Lesotho, Security Association of Malawi, Security Association of Namibia, Security Association of South Africa (SASA), Security Association of Zambia, South African Intruder Detection Services Association (SAIDSA), South African Women in Security Network, Southern African Security Association and Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA).
This year’s Southern Africa OSPAs awards will take place on 23 June 2026 via a virtual ceremony, where we will announce this years’ winners.
Building on the success of previous years, winners from all categories – excluding Lifetime Achievement—will automatically progress to the 2026 Global OSPAs, earning the opportunity to compete on the international stage. In addition, the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be honoured with induction into the newly launched Security Hall of Fame.
