2025 Southern Africa Award Winners:

Outstanding In-House Security Manager/Director
Kerissa Varma  – Microsoft

“In a digital world, cybersecurity isn’t just a defence mechanism; it’s a commitment to protecting our stakeholders and ensuring that society can thrive safely. I am beyond honoured to represent Southern Africa as this years’ Outstanding In-house security Manager/Director. Now more than ever, Africa needs strong cybersecurity focus to protect countries, to protect businesses, to protect you and me. While the OSPA award means recognition for the journey I have travelled, it is also a strong reminder to keep forging ahead as there is still so much to do to safeguard the African continent. A hearty congratulations to all the nominees and a big thank you to the judges and my amazing family (and work family) who remain my inspiration”.

“I am deeply honoured and grateful to have received an Outstanding Security Performance Award (OSPA). This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the incredible team I have the privilege of working with at Koreserv Security. I extend my sincere thanks to the organisers of the OSPAs, the judging panel, and all those who support and promote excellence within the security industry. Being acknowledged among so many dedicated professionals is truly humbling. To my team, thank you for your unwavering commitment, professionalism, and hard work. Outstanding Security Training Initiative
Derica Lambrechts – Department of Political Science Stellenbosch University

“Winning the Outstanding Security Training Initiative at the 2025 Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) is definitely a career highlight for me. Academia is not only just theory and hard data. It is about teaching critical and strategic thinking, questioning what we read and what we think we know. This award is a recognition of my teaching philosophy. Equip your students so that they can contribute to society and be great out there”!

Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator
Secutel Technologies

“Winning this Award is a proud moment for us, and we are grateful for the platform to showcase our work. Thank you for recognising the efforts of our team and for creating a space that celebrates excellence in the security industry”.

Outstanding New Security Product
Docked Drone Solution – 24/7 Drone Force

Outstanding Female Security Professional
Eva Nolle – Ceravoid

“I am truly humbled to have received the award. Not only was the category extremely competitive and I was nominated alongside some other phenomenal professionals, but to be nominated, judged and recognised by industry peers is truly an honour. I think all of us that are trying to contribute to the industry and bring it forward, do so because we believe in it and want to contribute to ‘the greater good’ and not for the accolades. However, to be recognised for it and know that colleagues see and value such contributions means a lot”.
