The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) have partnered with Securex South Africa and will be launching the 2021 awards during a security Thought Leadership Webinar on 16th July 2020 at 14:30 (GMT+2).
Currently running in thirteen countries, the OSPAs provide the opportunity to acknowledge and reward companies, individuals, teams and initiatives that make an outstanding contribution in safeguarding people and infrastructure around the world.
The OSPAs are totally independent and have a strict ethics policy for entering, judging and sponsoring. Many of the leading security organisations from South Africa are supporting the awards and have nominated a senior person to represent them on the judging panel.
The launch event is free to attend and will include a panel discussion on “Covid-19: where to now for private security in South Africa?”. Panelists will address:
- What are the main challenges facing the security sector as it emerges from lockdown?
- To what extent will changes in public and business expectations influence the types of security that will need to be provided?
- What factors will govern whether security post Covid-19 is a success?
